Proposed Amendments to the Rules of Practice and Procedure relating to the use of artificial intelligence systems in preparing filings

The OEB has issued an invitation to comment on proposed amendments to the Rules of Practice and Procedure relating to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) systems in preparing filings, something that is not currently accounted for in the Rules.

The proposed amendments provide a definition of “artificial intelligence system” and impose obligations on parties to disclose any use of such systems in preparing their filings and to confirm that they have verified the content of those filings for accuracy.
