Details

As the 2015-2020 DSM Framework will expire on December 31, 2020, the OEB initiated a consultation to consider the next generation DSM framework, with a view to ensuring that the OEB’s approach remains current, responsive to energy efficiency and conservation market developments and consistent with broader government policy.

On November 27, 2020, the Associate Minister of Energy and the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks issued a letter to the OEB that provided additional details related to the government’s Environment Plan and the role of natural gas DSM programs.

Integrated Resource Planning Proposal – Enbridge Gas Inc.
The OEB is holding a hearing to review Enbridge Gas Inc.’s integrated resource planning (IRP) proposal. 

Integrated resource planning is a planning process that evaluates and compares realistic natural gas supply-side and demand-side options. The post-2020 DSM framework consultation will monitor the IRP framework proceeding.
