Sep-5-25 | The OEB has updated its Open Data files with 2024 Reporting and Record-keeping Requirement (RRR) data, including updates to the newer electricity transmitter data that was added last year. Data integrity and consistency have been improved across all categories, covering both 2024 and earlier years. Four interactive Dashboards have also been refreshed with 2024 RRR data. These dashboards provide comprehensive insights on industry trends, distributor performance, and allow for customized data visualization and convenient performance comparisons. |
Aug-27-24 | The OEB is releasing an updated set of Open Data files containing 2023 RRR data which include: Activity and Program-based Benchmarking Related Reporting Dataset for Electricity Distributors, Third-Party Net Metering Dataset for Electricity Distributors, and Embedded Generation Facilities Dataset Broken Down by Facility Type for Electricity Distributors. Additionally, the OEB is also pleased to announce the integration of RRR data for electricity transmitters into the Open Data platform. This enhancement allows users to access electricity transmitter data alongside the already available electricity distributor data. |
Oct 6-23 | Building on the successful launch of RRR data in an Open Data format last year, the OEB has updated the data files to include the latest 2022 fiscal data for electricity distributors. Additionally, a new dataset for Major Event Response Reporting has been released. |
Sep 29-22 | As part of our modernization mandate and in accordance with Ontario’s Digital and Data Directive, the OEB is transitioning the Yearbook of Electricity Distributors to an Open Data format.
The files below are collected from the individual Open Data files and have been set up to mimic sections previously found in the Yearbook of Electricity Distributors. These files provide users with an alternate means of viewing data submitted to the OEB under the Reporting and Record-keeping Requirements.
