The OEB issued a Notice of Proposal to amend the Distribution System Code to establish requirements for distributors to share foundational static information regarding Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), upon request. This information would be used to inform activities related to the deployment of DERs and support the broader objective of optimizing DER integration across Ontario.
These proposed amendments are in response to the Minister of Energy and Mines' June 2025 Integrated Energy Plan Directive to the OEB.
We invite stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposal by May 14, 2026.
