Patrick Moran

Patrick Moran was appointed as a full-time Commissioner in June 2021. Mr. Moran is a lawyer who brings to the OEB a wealth of diverse energy experience and expertise honed in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Moran was the first Registrar for Ontario’s Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority, and prior to that he was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. As a member of the Energy Practice Group at Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose), Mr. Moran represented industry stakeholders before the OEB, the National Energy Board and at various levels of court in energy matters. Mr. Moran was also previously counsel at the OEB, and therefore he brings extensive knowledge of the role of the OEB and its regulatory processes.
