In the August 26, 2013, Notice of Code amendments, the OEB indicated its intent to create a standing committee - Regional Planning Process Advisory Group (RPPAG) - to continue the work of the Planning Process Working Group (PPWG) with a focus on considering the need for revisions to the regional planning process established by the PPWG, as required, based on lessons learned. The work of the RPPAG was briefly placed on hold while the IESO undertook a review of the process which culminated in a Final Report that included recommendations for the OEB’s consideration.
The OEB re-established the RPPAG in January 2021 as part of the Regional Planning Process Review (EB-2020-0176).
