The OEB has issued a report following a review of the consumer protection framework for customers of unit sub-meter providers (USMP). The report summarizes input obtained from consumers and stakeholders and identifies actions to strengthen the consumer protection framework for USMP customers.
The OEB is also issuing a Notice of Proposal to Amend the Unit Sub-Metering Code that includes proposed amendments to increase awareness among USMP customers of the consumer protection framework and related policies and programs that are in place to protect them. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the proposed amendments by January 16, 2025.
