Pankaj Sardana

Pankaj Sardana was appointed as a full-time Commissioner in October 2020. Mr. Sardana brings to the OEB more than 37 years of energy sector experience, with the past 16 years at the executive level. He has previously served in roles with Ontario’s then-Ministry of Energy, The Consumers' Gas Company, Ontario Hydro, the Independent Electricity System Operator, Toronto Hydro Corporation, Ontario Power Generation and most recently as CEO of Guelph Hydro. He has in-depth knowledge of regulatory affairs, finance, treasury operations, wholesale and distribution rate structures and rate design, load and volumetric forecasting, and conservation and demand management. Mr. Sardana holds a Master of Arts in economics from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
