Details

The OEB on its own motion commenced a proceeding under section 74 of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, to amend the licences of electricity distributors by approving the change to the Retail Settlement Code. The OEB proposed this amendment in order to be consistent with amendments made to the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, and changes made by the Independent Electricity Market Operator to Market Manual 5: Settlements, Part 5.4: Prudential Support, Issue 13.0, Section 1.3.1. released on December 12, 2002.

The OEB proposed to amend Chapter 8 of the Retail Settlement Code to clarify the prudential support obligation of Retailers under Distributor Consolidated Billing.
