Details
Under the Regulated Price Plan (RPP), the Ontario Energy Board has set time-of-use (TOU) electricity prices for eligible consumers that have smart meters since May 2005.
The Board initiated a consultation process to assist it in determining whether there is a need to modify the current structure or price setting methodology for TOU electricity prices. On October 18, 2010, the Board posted a letter to inform interested parties of this initiative.

The Board has posted Board staff’s “Report to the Board on the Review of the Structure and Price Setting Methodology for Time-of-Use Prices". The Staff Report documents the consultation process and sets out Board staff’s recommendations to the Board.

The Board has posted a PowerPoint presentation by The Brattle Group entitled, Assessing Ontario’s Regulated Price Plan . This presentation was used to stimulate discussion during the stakeholder consultation meeting on December 21, 2010.

The Board has posted a report prepared by The Brattle Group entitled, Assessing Ontario’s Regulated Price Plan . The Brattle Group’s independent analysis is released in anticipation of the time-of-use consultation meeting scheduled for Dec. 21, 2010. Representatives from The Brattle Group will present their report and answer questions from stakeholders.

The Board has issued a letter to stakeholders setting out further details regarding this consultation and announcing a stakeholder meeting and webcast to take place on Tuesday, December 21, 2010.
