Lynne Anderson
Lynne Anderson is a champion for active adjudication and the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, informed by best practices and always meeting the requirement for procedural fairness.
Ms. Anderson was appointed as Chief Commissioner in 2020. A former OEB Commissioner and Vice President of Applications, she brings to the position her deep knowledge and expertise in energy regulation and adjudicative processes. As a Commissioner, Ms. Anderson adjudicated numerous utility applications and supported the implementation of policies to enhance rate-setting processes. Ms. Anderson has more than 30 years of energy sector experience in regulatory and customer services roles. Prior to joining the OEB, she was Chief Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations Officer at Hydro Ottawa.
Under Ms. Anderson’s tenure, the OEB introduced its Adjudicative Dashboard, a hallmark of transparency, predictability and accountability in the sector. She has also amended the OEB’s Rules of Practice and Procedure for greater efficiency and clarity.
Ms. Anderson has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University.
