The OEB has launched an enhanced interactive infographic that provides an at-a-glance overview of how OEB regulatory processes rely on parts of RRR from electricity distributors.

The OEB has accepted an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance from Champagne Centre Ltd. following an OEB inspection into the company’s activities related to unit sub-metering. The inspection found that Champagne Centre Ltd., by conducting unit sub-metering activities without a licence, was non-compliant with sections 57(a) and (c.1) of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998. This reflects the OEB’s commitment to protecting consumers.

The OEB has accepted an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance from GrandBridge Energy Inc., an electricity distributor. The Assurance responds to non-compliance with its rate orders related to overcharging customers as a result of a billing system error.

The OEB has issued a letter which introduces a new streamlined licence renewal application form for all electricity transmitters whose licenses will be expiring in 2023 and beyond. This new form will require transmitters to confirm information that is necessary for the licensing process, and only updates information where necessary.
