The OEB has posted Price Comparison templates for Natural Gas Contracts for Utilities Kingston valid from August 1, 2022.
The OEB has launched the next phase of the online portal for filing licence applications (new and renewals), another milestone in the OEB’s Digital First Strategy to improve and modernize service delivery. Five more forms are now available through the portal: Electricity Generation, Electricity Retailer, Gas Marketer, Electricity Storage and Unit Sub-Metering, in addition to the Electricity Wholesaler form launched in March. It features fully automated processes for user registration and digital signatures along with an e-payment system, offering a user-friendly experience for applicants and efficiencies for both the sector and the OEB.
The OEB has released an updated variance settlement factor that is to be used by electricity distributors to calculate a one-time credit or charge for consumers who choose to stop purchasing electricity through the Regulated Price Plan. This factor is called the "Final RPP Variance Settlement Factor" and is updated on the OEB website monthly.
The OEB has posted the electricity distributors' 2022 stretch factor assignments for the 2023 Incentive Rate Mechanism (IRM) rate-setting process. The benchmarking details and assignments are published in the Pacific Economics Group "Empirical Research in Support of Incentive Rate-Setting: 2021 Benchmarking Update" Report to the Ontario Energy Board.

The OEB has issued a letter inviting interested parties to a stakeholder meeting on July 28, 2022, to discuss the development of a dynamic pricing pilot program for Class B consumers that are not eligible for the Regulated Price Plan.
The Framework for Energy Innovation Working Group, established to advise the OEB on the steps it can take to facilitate cost-effective use and integration of distributed energy resources, has delivered its Report to the OEB. Interested stakeholders are invited to comment on the Report and its recommendations.
