Effective immediately, the OEB is prohibiting electricity distributors from issuing disconnection notices to residential customers for the duration of the provincewide stay-at-home measures that took effect on April 8, 2021.

The OEB is posting the Activity and Program-based Benchmarking (APB) results of 10 programs published in a Pacific Economics Group report to the OEB following a request for data from electricity distributors. The OEB plans to host a stakeholder meeting on May 6, 2021 to discuss the initiative and the expected use of the APB results in the regulatory process.

The OEB has adopted new performance standards for processing Leave to Construct and Motion to Review applications to take effect April 1, 2021.

The OEB has accepted an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance from Goldcorp Canada Ltd. The Assurance responds to non-compliance related to operation in the wholesale market without a licence.

The OEB has approved changes to the prices Enbridge and EPCOR will charge its customers for natural gas effective April 1, 2021.

The OEB has posted Price Comparison templates for Natural Gas Contracts for Enbridge and EPCOR valid from April 1 - June 30, 2021.

The OEB has issued a letter setting out proposed priority workstreams to be undertaken in the near term and the approach to work in the Sector Evolution consultations: Utility Remuneration (EB-2018-0287) and Responding to Distributed Energy Resources (EB-2018-0288). The letter also announces the renaming of these consultations to Framework for Energy Innovation: Distributed Resources and Utility Incentives (EB-2021-0118).

The OEB has posted the updated electricity supply mix data information for 2020. As per Ontario Regulation 416/99 made under the OEB Act, and the OEB’s Directive, this information is required to be disclosed to Ontario consumers.

The OEB has released an updated variance settlement factor that is to be used by electricity distributors to calculate a one-time credit or charge for consumers who choose to stop purchasing electricity through the Regulated Price Plan. This factor is called the "Final RPP Variance Settlement Factor" and is updated on the OEB website monthly.

To simplify requirements for licensed electricity distributors, the OEB is making improvements to the Reporting and Record-keeping Requirements (RRR) and has identified changes to the Electricity Distributor Scorecard.
