Also, by an earlier order, the Board determined compensation to be paid by Tribute to the landowners. The decision issued on June 17, 2005, collectively with the previous approvals will support the conversion of the existing Tipperary north pool in the Township of Central Huron from gas production to gas storage.

As a result of the passage of the Energy Competition Act, 1998, the former Ontario Hydro was required to separate its transmission function from its power generation function. And, as a result, the monopoly portion of the new entity, Hydro One Networks Inc., was required to apply to the Board for regulated transmission rates.
